# Zip and Link Mattress

> A zip-and-link mattress system uses two matching mattresses joined by a zip or linking strip. They create one wider surface. A UK Super King set is usually two 90 × 200 cm halves, not two 90 × 190 cm Singles. The pair can be separated for stairs or dual adjustable bases. A bridge cover can soften the join.

**Definition.** Zip-and-link joins two matching mattresses with a zip or linking strip. They form one wider sleep surface that can be separated for access or transport.

Also called: zip link mattress, twin mattress link.

Zip-and-link is a logistics and couples’ configuration tool. Two narrower units
travel and articulate more easily than one rigid Super King. A bridge pad or
tightly linked edges reduces the centre join sensation.

Check the size of each half. A Super King set is usually two 90 × 200 cm halves.
A King set is usually two 75 × 200 cm halves. A standard UK Single is
90 × 190 cm. Two Singles make 180 × 190 cm, which is 10 cm shorter than a Super King.
