Do hybrids need a box spring?
Most modern hybrids prefer a firm foundation, platform-top divan, or closely spaced slats rather than a flexing traditional coil box spring. Read the base clause in the warranty.
Can any mattress go on an adjustable base?
No. The mattress must flex with the platform. Many foam, latex, and designed pocket/hybrid units are approved. Thick rigid traditionally tufted units may not be.
